The ability to unify the craftsmanship of wood, music, and history, among many other subjects, under a single discipline, causes me to transition from being a carpenter to training as a luthier. Initially under the guidance of José Ángel Chacón, at the Della Robbia School of Artisans in Gelves, and taking courses with Claudio Amighetti in Cremona, or Carlos González at the Early Music Festival of Aracena.

The ability to unite under the same discipline the craftsmanship of wood, music and history, among many other subjects, made me leave my job as a carpenter behind and start training as a luthier. First, under the tutelage of José Ángel Chacón, at the Della Robbia artisan school, in Gelves, and taking courses with Claudio Amighetti, in Cremona, or Carlos González, at the Aracena early music festival.

I continue my training in the workshop of Robert Louis Baille in Málaga, guided by his advice and that of his assistant, Antonio Suárez. After several years of apprenticeship, I gather the necessary momentum to venture out on my own, opening my own workshop in Seville.

Since 2007, I have been crafting viols for top-level performers. I also repair and restore all types of bowed instruments, for both classical and historically-informed performance. Since that year, I am also a member of GLAE, the Guild of Luthiers and Bowmakers of Spain, with whose members I maintain close contact and collaborate in the development of contemporary lutherie in our country.
